Our staff taught participants a little bit about history of Uchiwa. Monkirigata is patterns, which are inspired from flowers in Japan and also were originated in Edo era...300 or more years ago! We cut some patterns for making Uchiwa.

After working on the Uchiwa, we had some break at a cozy cafe and ate Japanese snack, TAIYAKI! We went to Fireworks Festival with our own Uchiwa! It was a really hot day, so Uchiwa was very useful! >> Sumida River Fireworks |
