Kita Senju is located on the banks of the Arakawa river in the Adachi area, north-east Tokyo. A little bit away from the centre of Tokyo,
the pace of life in Kita-Senju is noticeably different - slower and much more relaxed.
Though it has a more laid-back lifestyle, Kita-Senju has many bars, cafes and restaurants, and has been described as a heaven of entertainment.
In recent years the area around Kita-senju has seen great rejuvination as two major department stores have set up foothold near the station's west exit. The mazelike shopping streets spreading to the east are also a great place to spend your weekend afternoons.
As one of the busiest interchanges that connects the suburb to downtown Tokyo, Kita-Senju is indeed a combination of tranquility and liveliness.
